Artist's note:
"I don't think it's a coincidence that my son's first grade class just studied Van Gogh, and I came up with this idea. I used all public domain photographs and stylized them in Photoshop to look more 'Van-Gogh-ish'. This incorporates the song lines, From the heavens comes a hail/Of cabbage cauliflower and kale and Flaming red peppers will rain down from the sky. Of course, after interviewing Jason for FoodPorn.com and hearing his tremendous, seductive take on artichokes, those had to dominate the image.
